Unless you believe in yourself, you will never get the success you deserve, I know this to be true because when I started believing in myself, my career took off its flight up constantly, doors opened, great things happened.
Jobs are being lost during the current pandemic – which means that you are faced with recession - loss of job, your house or you are getting a zero-hour contract, or you are waiting for times to get better again.
The problem with waiting until things get better again is that you may not have time to wait. If you are already losing your house, then you are already aware that it may be more difficult as you are in crisis mode, a step away from homelessness if you are not eligible for housing benefits and that time is of the essence.
If you are someone who simply will not be eligible for benefits you restrict yourself from getting what you deserve.
I believe that the decision of when to work on yourself for your career completely is yours – because only you will live with the consequences.
I had started believing in myself when I was in my late twenties. If I had waited any longer, I might not have my work experience of constant progression today. If I had listened to some people, I might not have been able to keep going in trying to become a professional who continuously seeks growth and development in career. I was told that I was setting myself up for disappointment and failure.
I tried everything but what really worked for me was integrative NLP & Hypnotherapy. Therefore, I enrolled on Integrative Hypnotherapy and NLP, which included integrative Counselling, Hypnotherapy, CBT and Psychotherapy. I trained in Integrative advanced Hypnotherapy and specialized in Hypnosis. I love helping women and anyone who is eager to reach career success who may be struggling to achieve what they deserve, and it is amazing to see how one’s career can be affected by the mind.
There are many factors involved when you are struggling to get continuous career progression, and everyone is different. However, I want to offer you three key factors that are crucial to take into consideration:
1. Identify your Barriers
There are often unconscious factors that are blocking career progression. They can range from unresolved trauma, such as previous job losses, crisis or bullying trauma, negative beliefs about being a high achiever, unresolved internal concerns about job changes or worries about the ability to be good in your next role. Unless those barriers are brought to the surface and addressed, you may struggle to get your next job.
It is unlikely that you can resolve this on your own and it is wise to get help from an experienced professional, who has experience in this field. There is little point in addressing this at a conscious level, as the root cause is likely to be subconscious and a conventional therapist may not get to this level or take some time to get there.
2. Reduce your stress
Many of us are chronically stressed, but have normalized it, so we do not even notice it. If you have high levels of stress from bullying, you may have low levels of confidence, you need to get your career to progress successfully, such as low self-belief can be a barrier to job progression, such as self-doubt. You may also have reduced belief in yourself in being able to continually progress in career. In many cases, you may be stuck at a same job for the rest of your life or be dependent on benefits lifelong feeling the lack of fulfilment. To reduce stress, you need to regularly engage in relaxation which can be achieved through hypnosis. This will train your mind and body to switch off ‘fight or flight’ response.
Give yourself permission to make up your own mind to work on yourself. Right now, everyone has a perspective, delaying career progression could make the difference between getting career fulfilment or never achieving career fulfilment and joy. This decision is life-changing because you will live with the consequences for the rest of your life.
